Governance

Board of Directors

Revere’s Riders is governed by a Board of Directors with assistance from Officers, some of whom are also voting Board Members.  The organization’s members participate in governance by electing officers and can also remove Directors on a periodic basis. Positions marked with a “star” (*) below are voting members of the Board.

President*

Bruce Williams

Bruce is a certified NRA Range Safety Officer and is a member of Marion County Fish and Game in Indianapolis, IN and Crawfordsville Gun Club in Crawfordsville, IN. His interest in marksmanship developed later in life after a shooting occurred only a short distance from where his daughter was practicing at a city park with her soccer team. Fortunately, no one on the soccer team was hurt but the event led to numerous “what if?” questions in his mind and, finally, a decision to learn about firearms by taking some NRA classes. Those lessons led to Revere’s Riders, becoming the webmaster for the Revere’s Riders website, on to becoming Vice President and finally President. Professionally, Bruce obtained his B.A. from DePauw University in 1986 and his Ph.D. in condensed matter experimental physics at IU Bloomington in 1995. Afterwards, he took a slight detour to work with many of the pioneers in medical informatics at Regenstrief Institute. With two young daughters involved in a multitude of extracurricular activities, he left Regenstrief after 15 years and formed two small businesses so he could spend more time with family.
